Product Description

Terror-Daktil 4D was released in 1983 for the ZX Spectrum,  and gave players a unique twist on the traditional arcade shooter, as they must carefully aim arcing shots at flocks of enemies. The game also contains an opening cinematic cutscene – a rarity for early 80s computer games.  Released by Melbourne House.

Playing the game

You have crashed in the jungles of South America and must now stave off the assault of the deadly Terror-Daktils for six days and six nights until rescue arrives. Armed with only three old cannons, can you fight off the swarm and escape with your life?

Survive for six days and nights by firing arcing shots from your cannon at the fearsome Terror-Daktils. This enhanced version introduces a number of modern features to this retro classic, including:

  • Saving/loading the game at any point
  • Support for most modern game controllers
  • Full control remapping
  • Image scaling and smoothing options
Game Awards

“The perfect arcade game is a combination of superb graphics and a challenging game. Terror Daktil from Melbourne House, the people who brought you the Hobbit, is half perfect. The graphics are among the best that I have ever seen on a micro”  – Computer and Video Games (October 1983).
