About Us

Speccy Shack was launched to revive the iconic Sinclair ZX Spectrum Home Computer. Fuelled by a deep passion for 80s computing, we are excited to celebrate the magic of that era and share our love for the many microcomputers that shaped our childhoods. 

We purchase and resell Sinclair ZX Spectrum Computers, restoring and updating them to extend their lifespan for many additional years. Additionally, we offer modification services, including the replacement of outdated electrolytic capacitors, and enhancements for audio and video to enable compatibility with modern TVs. And the installation of new voltage regulators to ensure they operate cooler and more reliably.

About us, the Speccy Shack is made up of two members: Nick and his son Lucca. We operate as a family-owned business located in Trowbridge, Wiltshire (UK) that focuses on restoring vintage Sinclair ZX Spectrum home computers. Additionally, we provide an extensive selection of retro hardware and software that has been tested.
